Thank you to everyone who included £2 charitable donations with their tickets. The Committee is proud to be supporting the following three charities this year:

Jimmy's Night Shelter, Cambridge

Jimmy's are the only provider of emergency accommodation for homeless individuals in Cambridge; throughout the year, they provide a warm and safe place for homeless people to stay. They also help their guests by offering guidance in addressing their issues, in gaining new skills and in taking control of their lives. Since 1995, more than 6000 people have been helped.

Believing in lasting development led by local people, Afrinspire supports communities across East Africa, aiding them using a grass-roots approach. Support includes the provision of educational materials, and funding for schools, sustainable agriculture and water tanks. Afrinspire is being supported by most Cambridge Balls, with the aim being to see the impact of guest donations for these local communities from year to year.

Student Minds

The UK's student mental-health charity, Student Minds, gives young people the opportunity to discuss their mental-health issues and to offer support for their peers. They offer training and supervision to allow students to take an active approach to facilitate change at their Universities.

Above all, the Ball showcases an exceptional array of drinks, fine cuisine and a huge variety of entertainment to suit all tastes, including world-class headline performances.
